Css onmouseover an image to produce one larger with text & one I did with a tiny bit'o'javascript

This kind of a neat one. You may have looked at the script similar to this that uses simple css on the wiki here:

That one is here on the left, the green box. It uses a bit of modified javascript. The two top right and left images work on pure css. Plus they have a description...

Anyway they both have their good and bad points. For example they can go outside of the page you have them on, so you have to plan your layout.
